Pharmacy TechnicianIdeal candidate will be certified and registered. willing to train for the right candidatePOSITION SUMMARY:Assists the pharmacist in preparing medications for dispensing. Does not dispense any medication that isn't double checked by a registered pharmacist. Is directly responsible for running the pharmacy robot and maintaining stock in automated dispensing cabinets. Draws up doses in the IV class 10,000 clean room utilizing a class 100 laminar flow hood and aseptic technique. Performs pharmacy stock QA inspections on all nursing units. Makes delivery/pickup rounds to unit and departments and performs computer order entry functions. Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisors/pharmacists. Provides customer service by processing paper, electronic and phone requests for medications.EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:High School diploma required. Some previous pharmacy related or hospital clinical background preferred. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
