We foster a collaborative, inclusive, and creative environment where every team member contributes to meaningful solutions and grows in their career. Job Description:

Hite Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and its nationally significant grant programs. We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving problems, working with complex datasets, and transforming information into meaningful insights. This position offers an opportunity to develop business intelligence tools, performance measures, and analytical solutions that help federal program leadership improve operational efficiency and make informed decisions. The selected candidate will report directly to the Hite Program Manager. Work Location: This position offers remote work flexibility, with a preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Qualified candidates outside the region will be considered. Position Duties: Analyze federal grants and operational data to identify trends, measure performance, and generate actionable insights for program leadership. Develop dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, and management reports using Excel, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools. Establish and maintain performance measures related to grant applications, awards, financial transactions, processing timelines, closeouts, and program workload. Collaborate with federal program personnel to understand data sources, reporting requirements, and opportunities to improve data analysis and utilization. Validate, reconcile, and organize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Support the development of annual program reporting, including historical analysis, performance metrics, and visual presentations of program accomplishments. Develop repeatable analytical processes and apply Python or other tools to automate calculations, streamline reporting, and explore prototype analytical solutions. Prepare and communicate analytical findings, trends, and recommendations to program managers and federal leadership. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education as permitted by the applicable labor category. 6+ years of professional experience; candidates with an advanced degree in a related field may qualify with 4+ years of relevant experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, and analytical reporting. Working knowledge of Python, including experience using or modifying scripts for data analysis and processing structured datasets; advanced programming expertise is not required. Experience with SQL, Microsoft Power BI, or comparable data analytics and business intelligence tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience validating and reconciling complex datasets. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytical findings to nontechnical audiences. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, manage competing priorities, and work independently or collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to obtain and maintain applicable DHS/FEMA Public Trust clearance and system access approvals. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting federal agencies, government contractors, grant programs, or public-sector performance reporting. Experience developing business intelligence dashboards, management scorecards, or executive reporting tools. Experience using Python libraries such as pandas for data manipulation, automation, or analytical prototyping. Familiarity with Databricks, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Automate, or comparable analytical and workflow automation platforms. Hite Consulting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, sex, age, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local laws.
